Nicolas Francart

Climate Analyst, Cities

Nicolas is a climate analyst in the Cities of the Future Program (Fremtidens Byer). He is responsible for developing the Program’s international portfolio of projects and partners. This includes sharing knowledge from projects such as DK2020 with international stakeholders, learning from relevant projects in other countries, as well as building new projects and collaborations with international partners. Nicolas also works with monitoring urban sustainability, and contributes to the ClimatePol project, focusing on climate change adaptation in the Danish-German border region.

Prior to joining CONCITO, Nicolas worked as a researcher, first at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, then at Aalborg University. Nicolas has a background in engineering and sustainability science, with a particular focus on sustainability assessments in the building sector. He has experience with data analysis for sustainability, circularity, and climate impact calculations, as well as a qualitative understanding of decision support, futures thinking and sustainability transitions.
