Emissions Gap Report 2022

The Closing Window – Climate crisis calls for rapid transformation of societies

The report takes stock of the gap between the reductions countries have pledged and what is needed to reach the Paris Agreement's goal of keeping the temperature rise well below 2 degrees and preferably only 1.5 degrees.

The report  finds that the international community is falling far short of the Paris goals, with no credible pathway to 1.5°C in place. Only an urgent system-wide transformation can avoid climate disaster.

CONCITO has been responsible for the preparation of the report in collaboration with UNEP's Copenhagen Climate Centre.
