In order to comply with the Paris Agreements goal of limiting global warming to between 1,5 and 2,0 degrees of global warming, measures that can effectively and swiftly decarbonize the energy sector and industrial production are crucial. CONCITO works with constructive analyzes and proposals in the field of energy policy, circular economy and technology, which can help to achieve the goal.

CONCITOs focus areas are both energy efficiency and the green transition of the energy systems in Denmark and Europe.

Nationally CONCITO works with the phasing out of fossil fuels and increasing the amount of sustainable energy e.g. in the long-term planning of wind and solar energy.

AURES is an example of CONCITOs international activities. AURES was a European research project on auctions for renewable energy support (RES) in the EU. The general objective of the project was to promote an effective use and efficient implementation of auctions to improve the performance of electricity from renewable energy sources in Europe.

Buildings and green transition
In this project focus is on the expanded role of buildings in the green transition. Buildings will play an expanded role in the green transition towards 2050. The aim of the project is to promote climate-friendly, sustainable and healthy buildings. This is done through the development and dissemination of knowledge about future framework conditions for construction, new building forms and materials, the buildings' interaction with the energy systems etc.

Members and partners include e.g. Rockwool, Grundfos, Danfoss, Eon, WindDk.
